HIT Healthy Indoor Technology, has developed a device that is easily installed inside buildings, and is effective in eliminating patogens found in the air and on surfaces.

It has two modes of operation:

  1. With people in the room, it acts continuously on the air; with the capacity to treat more than 3000 liters/minute.
  2. Without people in the room, it acts on the air and surfaces, requires 10min/30m2, 15min/50m2, etc.

In laboratory tests carried out by the UNIVERSITY OF BURGOS, it has been proven that the number of colony-forming units remains stable in the environment until the system is activated, and that from that moment on, their number is significantly reduced. By reducing pathogens in the environment, the risk of infection is reduced, and the severity of those that depend on an infective dose, which is the initial amount necessary to cause a clinical disease response.

It uses a physical system to eliminate pathogens, which emits high-power light energy and an invisible ultraviolet spectrum. They are UVC-type electromagnetic waves; also known when applied for germicidal purposes as UVGI, GUV or UV-light.

To date, all VIRUSES, BACTERIA, FUNGI AND OTHER PATHOGENS that have been exposed to UVC-type electromagnetic energy, have been inactivated. The genetic material is damaged and prevents them from replicating, inside or outside the human body.

In any case, the effectiveness of ultraviolet technology on pathogens requires the application of a dose equal to or greater than that required for the inactivation of the target pathogens. A small emitter has no capacity. It is necessary to combine several high-power emitters to obtain significant results. The level of power that is effective can be harmful to people, which is why it is not recommended for domestic use.

The installation must be designed, installed and tested by qualified personnel; On the other hand, the usual operation is very simple, although it requires the appointment of a responsible person who understands the operation. Additionally, the system has 7 sensors to control human errors. Only in this way is it possible to provide the target dose and completely safe operation.
